The bell doesn't make a sound.
Check that your device isn't muted and the media volume is up. On iPhone, the physical
silent switch also mutes the bell. If it still doesn't ring, try closing and reopening the app.
Why does it ask for the microphone on iPhone?
Call Bell can force the sound through the built-in speaker even while headphones or Bluetooth
are connected. iOS only allows that audio route in a mode that is formally shared with
recording, so the system shows a microphone prompt. The app never records, stores or sends
any audio. You can decline the prompt - the bell still works, it just follows your normal
audio output.
The sound goes to my headphones instead of the speaker.
Open Settings inside the app and set Sound Output to Speaker.
Shake to ring doesn't work.
It's off by default. Turn it on in Settings inside the app.
How do I reset the ring counter?
Open Settings inside the app and tap the reset button under the counter.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Call Bell works fully offline. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for.
